The World Brewing Academy, a partnership of Siebel Institute of Technology & Doemens Academy,
is proud to announce an addition to our 2003 scholarship program.
The California Fermentation Society, a California public benefit corporation based in Long Beach,
CA, has generously offered to provide a $500 scholarship towards tuition in our fall
World Brewing Academy Concise Course in Brewing Technology
(Chicago Campus: Oct. 27 - Nov. 7, 2003).
The California Fermentation Society was formed to promote the appreciation of the
brewing arts and sciences, supporting the Southern California brewing community through
such events as the annual brewing competition at the Los Angeles County Fair.
The Board and 60+ members of the non-profit CFS feel it is important to contribute
to brewing education by providing such services as a monthly class in brewing
basics and a wide selection of informational links on their web site.
They have also committed funds towards the CFS scholarship for brewing
education, and CFS vice-president Don Van Valkenburg says they chose
the WBA because of it’s “great reputation for educating brewers”.
You can find out more about joining and supporting the California Fermentation Society by
visiting their web site at www.calferm.org.
